If you want to keep the firewood, then for subterranean termites (ground termites), place a few cinder blocks on the ground and lay some posts or wood across the cinder blocks to make rails. Then stack the firewood on top pf these rails to get it off the ground. The firewood sitting on the ground is what is causing the problem. Get it off the ground and create a gap between the firewood and the ground. This should solve the problem.
For subterranean termites in the firewood, it would be ok to take it inside and burn it. If the termites are of the drywood variety (coastal areas) do not take it indoors. Dispose of it as quickly as possible as they could infest your home.
Hope this helps.
