My husband and I are renting an older house next door to a funeral home. For the past two summers (since we moved in) we've had major issues with blow flies (green or blue green, very loud buzz). I keep the house clean and we make sure to take the trash out (and keep the outside garbage can away from the door). I see them around the windows facing the funeral home, and later on they'll find a way in, which is why I think the source is next door. I told our landlord, but as usual he doesn't seem concerned at all. I am-they seem to follow me around, I hate spraying Black Flag on the windows where they hang out, which seems to be only minimally effective, and it's simply not sanitary for them to be in here. Is there any way to keep them out (apart from caulking the windows) or at least kill them before they get in?
I'm also willing to accept that they might have breeding places in here, but since the landlord apparently hasn't done much cleaning at all in the past years I can't figure out where to start in searching for them. I'll take whatever help I can get.
