What is the best miticide to use indoors for avian mites when they are confirmed?

I have a Avian mite infestation in my home. The Birdsnest was located on an abandoned satellite pole where it attaches to my home. As luck would have it the facia had blown off in a storm and went unnoticed for quite some time. We have had multiple pcos come inspect. Finally a sample was obtained. I want to make sure that my families being protected and ask the right questions. Out of the multiple companies in my area no one seems to have any sort of confidence when I ask questions and seem a little put off when I ask for qualifications. I would like to know what they are going to spray where they're going to spray it how many treatments and I'm not able to get a straight answer. I've read many of your posts I apologize I might be missing some thing where are you have supplied this information I am just trying to be as diligent as possible to make sure that the right PCO and company is selected. The first startling concern was that none of them seem to understand the severity in time sensitivity. I did allow one company to come to the home to inspect as I didn't know what was anything and they sprayed demand CS. At that time I knew nothing about pest control at all and I'm disappointed with my negligence of not knowing that they should have done an actual inspection to find out where in fact they would be coming from and when I say they advised me it was carpet beetles which repel them "bird mates" for approximately seven days but then came back with a vengeance. I am located in Canada and I would love your expert expertise on this. I should add once I noticed symptoms starting to come back to the family I was scouring the Internet which can be dangerous I'm aware but I came across a startling fact that they didn't look at the exterior of my home at all in fact they just took samples of a few things I found laying around the house.

it was after my research that I learned an inspection should be done and that is when I located the Birdsnest after the first treatment

The whole problem with mite control begins with correctly identifying them. My question is was the identification performed by a University or a pest control company. It would take a University that has a specialist in Acarids to identify them. It also takes a high powered microscope. A hand lens and a "desktop" id by a pest control guy is not sufficient.

The other question is, are these mites bothering you, and if so, what has been done if anything? This can get quite complicated, so buckle your seat belt....

The first thing you need to do is get a sample to a qualified University in your area that has an Acarist on staff. At the very least a Board Certified Entomologist. Not a PCO. Determining the exact species is the key to control. Not knowing the exact species but simply treating for "mites" will never work.

Being in Canada does pose an issue since most of the products I recommend cannot be shipped there. A PCO in most cases will not solve this problem unless they are very skilled and willing to spend the TIME to do it correctly. Most will not. Spraying baseboards or fogging the attic will do little to control these things.

A pco…. Also yes they have been bothering us and it is time sensitive time has been ticking. It took quite a while to get a sample we being myself and two children have been experiencing bites if you will it’s a quick stinging sensation it’s been going on for probably two months approximately probably on the higher side of two months. My seatbelt has been buckled for quite some time thank you very much for that it has been very troublesome and very concerning at this point my main concern is is my home going to be salvageable. Not all bites leave a mark a few do.
It’s been happening long enough that we all seem to be pretty conscience of when it is our brain thinking about it and an actual bite.
I should add as I’m sure you are aware without a proper license I am unable to obtain any chemicals anyhow here in Canada.
