mosquito,emerald green thorax with two broad black bands,similar to club head

mosquito id- "club like head" metallic emerald green, thorax with two broad black bands seemed heavier bodied than most

Do you have a picture? I have not seen an emerald green mosquito. Sounds like a dragonfly?

definitely mosquito, swatted right before beak went in; seemed heavier bodied than most mosquitoes, never even heard of one like it; was NOT a dragonfly

the head didn't exactly match that "club head" picture, but was similar but more top-heavy if I remember right
