I looked at the label for Drain Gel and don't see any issues with using it in a hospital bed room sink. The ingredients are considered " Biodegradable, non-toxic,
non-pathogenic, and non-caustic", and there is no wording on there that would be of concern. If nothing else, you could make the application and then cover the drain with a plug or matt or something.
