I have been seeing long, jet black objects on and in my carpet and in the lining of some of my clothing.

hing.I would think they were just a piece of thread, but they are too thick and can make themselves completely flat and will mone after mjch prodding.Please help, I have never seen anything like this in my 25 years. Thankyou, Miss Earline Munger.

Hi Earline, what you are describing is not something I can easily identify without seeing it. If it looks like a piece of thread, but is thicker and can flatten itself out, and make some kind of sound? Most insects are not capable of making any sounds other than a click or something similar.

I really cannot even begin to guess. If you can send me a sample, I will be more than happy to put it under a microscope and identify it . Just place it in a small box and send it to:
