It really depends on how bad the smell is. For very light smoke odors, a simple spray or fogging into the room with a ULV machine such as the Hurricane ULV Fogger using EcoFresh ZR1 will usually work. 2 or 3 applications may be needed.
If the smell is coming from a room where someone has lived and smoked for a long time, and the nicotine and tar have permeated the room such as in fabrics, wall surfaces, paint, etc, direct spraying and wetting of these areas is necessary. Repeated applications may be necessary to get complete control.
Basically for light odors, fogging works, for heavy odors, direct application is needed. In some severe cases, completely eliminating all odors may be impossible.
