Boric acid will not kill brown recluse spiders. The best method to treat and get rid of brown recluse spiders is to use a fast active spray that kills on contact. Demon WP or Pestabs is the best product to use.

The way to treat is to do a very thorough inspection with a high powered flashlight and look behind dressers, nightstands, tv's, etc, and also under and behind beds, inside of closets, and any dark concealed area. These spiders are called "recluse" because they hide in dark inaccessable areas. Be sure to wear gloves, and after inspecting these areas, spray them with a light coating of either of the above products. A treatment around the outside perimeter of the motel, under shrubs, etc is also recommended.
If there is access to the attic, then the attic and eaves (if possible) should also be inspected and sprayed.
If the the motel has a crawl space, then this area also needs inspection and treatment.
Getting rid of brown recluse spiders can be tedious, but this is how the pros do it. Just be sure to take the time to look and find them hiding.
Using the ePest IPM Pro Bug Trap behind and under furniture is a great monitoring device and will capture them.
