The best bait for years for Pharoah Ants has been Maxforce FC Ant Killer Bait Stations. These stations contain ground up "silk work cocoons" as the attractant. The trick to killing pharoah ants is to get them to feed on the bait, as they prefer human flesh, open sores, body fluids, etc. Terro only contains honey as the attractant, and I have never found Terro to be a good Pharoah ant bait.
The reviews on this bait don't reflect the quality product that it is. It is used in hospitals, nursing homes and other sensitive areas all across the USA by professional pest control companies. The closed bait station allows the use in these areas without any fear of contamination to sanitary items.
Another good bait to use is Advion Ant Gel, although it does not contain the silk worm cocoons.
Baiting for Pharoah Ants usually only occurs indoors, and the baits are placed inside walls, etc through plumbling accesses and electrical switches.. Baiting outdoors for these ants does not work, as they will nest and live indoors in walls.
