The best thing to do for any type of outdoor pest that we call "occasional invaders" including field crickets, is to make sure that they cannot get through cracks, crevices, etc, outdoors and get access to inside your walls.
"Stuffit" Copper wool is a great product to use to seal up holes and cracks to keep crickets out. Here is the link - http://www.epestsupply.com/product/ST...
For baiting around the perimeter outside, and also for use in attics, walls, etc, use Larva Lur Cricket Bait, its used by all the pros and works really well - http://www.epestsupply.com/product/PR...
Indoors, traps work well such as the ePest IPM Bug Trap. Just place them under and behind furniture, etc. - http://www.epestsupply.com/product/IP...
Lastly, if you need something to kill them quickly and want something to spray, Demon WP does a great job of knocking them down and killing them - http://www.epestsupply.com/product/DE...
Some pest companies will also use a growth hormone combined with an insecticide such as Demand CS for outdoor lawns and acreage to help combat crickets. But the problem is that they can fly, and can swarm in from outside areas.
If they start to stink inside the walls, use the EcoFresh Odor Absorber Bag. It will absorb the odors caused from dead decaying crickets - http://www.epestsupply.com/product/EC...
The best thing to do is to make sure they can't get in, use Larva Lur, use ePest bug traps, vacuum them up as needed and spray Demon Wp as needed. Hope this helps!
