Ultracide will last 3-4 weeks indoors before it begins to "fall off" not be effective. The point at which it becomes less toxic is usually when it dries, and after all odors have dissipated. I would recommend to use it whenever there is a problem with fleas or ticks and only use when there is evidence of live insects. This may be 1 time, or more often, it totally depends on the situation.
As far as I know, It is not harmful to cats if used according to label directions, and allowed to fully dry, etc.
Tick control usually begins outdoors, with a thorough treatment of the outside outdoor areas, lawn, tree bases, shrubs, etc, with a product such as Bifen IT. Treatment of outdoor areas and also treatment of animals are the first lines of defense before anything should be done inside. Ticks can be a problem on both cats and dogs.
So the bottom line is that only spraying the bedroom may not do anything. I complete program is probably going to be what it takes to get control. Then again, you can try.
