The best solution is to call Animal Control in your area if your city or town has one. They will come out and pick up the skunk and probably euthanize it.
If no animal control is available, here is what to do -
Get an old blanket and by holding it up with both hands while totally covering your body and face, slowly walk up to the cage and gently wrap the trap with the blanket. Don't startle the skunk or he/she could spray.
Next gently pick up the cage and place it in the back of a pickup truck and take the skunk somewhere far away and let it go. Be careful not to get sprayed.
If you do get sprayed, EcoFresh Ultra ZR1 is a great skunk odor removal. You can also wash out the back of the pickup with it to get rid of any odors.
Be careful and good luck!
