As long as the foundation is slab, then basically, a narrow trench is dug along the foundation about 3-5" deep and wide. This trench is dug directly next to the foundation and either Termidor or Taurus is then applied into the trench at a rate of 4 finished gallons per 10 linear feet. The formula to calculate how many finished gallons you need is to measure the outside walls, and then take the total linear feet (200 for example) divide by 10 times 4 (4 gallons). So if the outside measurement is 200 then you need 80 total finished gallons to treat the outside. You can't do this with a weed sprayer, but you can do it with a 5 gallon bucket, mixing 4-5 gallons at a time.
I would recommend the 78 oz container of either product as this makes around 100 finished gallons. After application, cover the trench with the dirt and smooth it out with a rake.
For ants it depends on the species of ant. If you have argentine ants, then you need the KM Ant Pro System. It provides a year round food source and kills the colony.
