Unfortunately, my experience and knowledge of chemicals and so called "organics" is that nothing is purely "safe". In fact, most of the ingredients in the "safer" and "less toxic" chemicals are nothing I would consider safe enough to breath, place on my skin or ingest. So with that being said, "safe" and "pesticides" in my opinion can never mix. If a chemical or substance kills anything, it is toxic to some degree.
To answer your question, Cypermethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid chemical. Demon WP is a fantastic chemical at killing all kinds of common insect pests and lasts about 90 days indoors. In our 18 years of doing business, we have never had a reported issue or complaint about Demon WP. It is widely used in the pest control industry and is considered safe when used properly.
We have a family member with Myoblastic Leukemia currently undergoing chemotheropy. Would I use Demon WP around this family member? Probably not - just do to the circumstances and the fact that they probably have a depressed immune system. After recovery? Absolutely. I would just use it according to label directions.
As someone who needs to be extremely diligent about the substances in their environment, Right now, I would recommend to use only non-toxic "methods" of control which basically amount to using traps, exclusion methods such as sealing pests out, extraction methods using vacuums or hand picking, or possibly using Insect Growth Regulators. I would not consider using anything to kill pests chemically until you get past all of this and at least partially recovered.
Sorry to be long winded - Prayers for a fast and complete recovery!
Ron
