local pest control co said based off the pictures I sent that I have Carpet Beetles, not sure bc of my symptoms

We had bed bugs 18 mo ago and I (and my bed) were the host. But I would sleep in the basement & wake up with the same huge welts/itchy hives as in my room. We had stayed at a hotel a few months prior and I woke up one morning with pimple like and huge swollen welts. The black band was on my mattress and blood marks and droppingS as well as a few live ones. I saw 2 live small black/brown circle bugs on my daugghters baseboard but she never had symptoms. The whole house was heated but i would still not every night but every ao often wake up with welts almost always on my legs. The thing is by then I was so paranoid I was wearing jeans to bed. No one in my house (4others) had symptoms but me. It was generally ignored and i thought maybe it was my skinny jeans causing it from sweat or being so tight until today when my window was open and a trail of ants were coming in and my bed is right there too. Did not find ants but clear casings and "sticks" black dots but no strips like bed bugs. Reddish color sticks, little white "crumbs" and casings with legs. I had since put a 5" memory foam topper and then a 2 in down (fake) mattress on top and rarely had issues and it was under there that I found all this. I am itching like crazy huge welts and anytime I go near the top of my bed (now witjout the new comforter and two mattress pads my hands start tingling and it hurts and get red and swollen and i keep feeling these little bites on me. Doesnt hurt but its annoying bc it then itches and my scalp!!! And also down my pants(omg!!!) there was spilled icecream stain on a stuffed animal on my bed for a while that i did not realize but i also have terrible insomnia and can go 2-3 days with little to no sleep. The "things" i described above are what my dad and I who became the most paranoid (yes ill admit it drove me crazy) found these things all over the house. They have since replaced EVERYTHING! What is this? Did we ever have bed bugs? Or did we have bed bugs and something else? Something that professional CLOSE DOWN AND HEAT UP THE WHOLE HOUSE treatment would not kill?

I am not sure how I can help you. It almost sound like the bed bugs are back. If something is biting you and causing welts and itching, and you have had bed bugs in the past, then I would assume that they are back.

The clear casing you describe are probably body casings of bed bug that have molted. The black specks are probably their droppings.

Heating and heat remediation for bed bugs are only 90% effective. There is a 10% chance that some will survive. Given enough time, they will repopulate and the problem begins all over again.

Carpet beetles are usually not a human pest. You can be allergic and sensitive to their hairs, but I would doubt that this is an issue. It sounds to me like bed bugs.
