Yellowjackets can very easily move their nest into a wall void.
Here is a picture of a yellow jacket nest inside of a wall -
Delta Dust or any insecticidal dust is a great tool to use to kil yellow jackets, bees or wasps that are living in side of a wall. Drill a few holes into the wall and using a bulb duster such as the Puffer Duster, "puff" the dust into the areas to kill them.
Just make sure you don't get stung. We sell Bee suits that will aid in protection from stinging insects.
