Pharoah ants usually nest inside the walls of the home. Treating outdoors will stop the outdoor invasion, but then you have to kill what remains indoors.
Amdro traps in my opinion are useless. We don't sell them, as they are not considered professional use and are of over the counter retail quality.
The best thing to do for Pharoah ants, is to remove all of the switch and electrical plate covers and then bait inside the electrical boxes with Advion Ant Gel. All you need is to use a small dab of the Advion inside the electrical boxes and then replace the covers.
Baiting plumbing lines under sinks is a good method too. Basically, pull the circular rings (if any that are around the plumbing drain lines) back from the cabinet or wall and place a small amount of bait on top of the drain line. Then replace the ring.
In all you will use probably around 100 placements of bait if the house is infested. This will require about 3 tubes of Advion Ant Gel. You can try less, but if the ants persist, you may have to do it all over again.
There is another method where you can mix an IGR with Mint Apple Jelly or Peanut Butter and using a baster, inject into straws. Then cut the straws into 1 inch pieces and use these as bait placements. The IGR is called Pharorid. It's basically Precor or Methoprene. The straws have to be replaced as the ants consume the bait and you keep baiting until they stop. This process takes a few months, but does work. This is a little more work, but pest companies that perform this service have been known to charge over $1,000 to do it.
Hope this helps, if you have any more questions, let me know.
