Typically, any snake is looking for food - mice. So if you have a mouse issue, the first step is to take steps to get rid of them. If you live near a marsh or wetland, river, etc, then it could just be a wandering snake. In any case, coral snakes, as you probably know, are dangerous and need to be dealt with by a professional snake handler. I never recommend to deal with dangerous snakes unless you have training and/or the appropriate protective gear and or tools. VIsit our page on how to kill mice for more information.
The only thing you can do yourself is to make sure that there are no holes or entry points where the snakes can gain entry. This is after you have determined that there either is a mouse / rat issue or not.
You can also apply Snake Away to the perimeter of the home, this will help to deter the snakes and hopefully disrupt their sensory organs so that they go away. Snake Guard is a large glue trap that can be placed in garages, storage areas, etc, to help capture them. If you encounter a coral snake on a glue trap, never touch it unless you are well equipped and know what you are doing.
A local herpetologist may be better source if you need help. I am sure Mr. Google can help in this regard.
Hope this helps.
