Here is a link to th Merit 75 label - http://www.epestsupply.com/images/Pro...
The application rate is - 6.4 to 8.6 oz. per acre or 3 to 4 level teaspoons per 1000 sq. ft.
It is mixed in water and applied using a boom type sprayer or backpack sprayer to an area as large as this. If applying to a small area or home lawn, then a handheld sprayer would work fine.
Since the Merit 75 container is only 2 ounces, you might want to consider something else that contains Imidichloprid that is more cost effective such as IMaxx Pro -

I must warn you that the restrictions on IMAXX PRO do not include for use on grubs, but if you read the active ingredients, they are basically the same. I am not advocating violating the use on the label......... but what you are using it for, the cost savings can be significant.
Other Grub Control options are -
Dominion 2L - http://www.epestsupply.com/product/CS...
Tandem - http://www.epestsupply.com/product/TA...
Cyonara Lawn and Garden - http://www.epestsupply.com/product/75...
Also, be sure to know when the "application window" is for your area. This is the window of time after the grubs mate and the eggs are laid. It's usually in the the June - July months and only for 2-3 weeks in some areas. The immature grubs are close to the surface of the soil and easier to kill than full grown adults that are deeper in the ground in the later times of the year.
Contact your local agricultural extension agent, University, or local lawn care professional to find out when this window is. Then do it yourself and save!
