maysville kentucky,adding on 75 yr old house,with sub termite damage.dug basement next to it.what is best treatmen

house was treated by termix w prev. owner 13 yr ago.with new add on im creating a 4' wide crawlspace between 2 basements.found damage.what do i treat space between with?will termites eat presure treated wood? ive noticed 20 or so flying around.its around 50 degrees here.

If the house was treated prior to 2000, then whatever was used at that time is probably not there anymore. My guess is Dursban TC, Dragnet, maybe even Premise. But whatever, it needs retreatment or what is called a "booster treatment", kind of like a booster shot.

I would recommend a complete retreatment with Termidor SC. Termidor SC will last 15+ years and will have an overall impact on the termite colony and not just kill the workers.

Most professional pest control companies have been using Termidor SC since 2000, a newer cheaper "generic" or "post patent" fipronyl product is Taurus SC. Here are the links -
