Many times when we think we are being bitten by something, it is very easy to think it must be an insect. The truth however is that insects are very visible to naked eye, even mites.
There really isn't anything that I am aware of called a "black flea". There are dog fleas and cat fleas, rat fleas, etc.
Red itchy spots sounds more like bed bugs to me. Bed bugs are very mobile, will bite you and then go hide somewhere. They are fairly large, but like to hide from view, so you can't see or find them.

The other possibility is that it is a mite, or simply an "allergen". Allergens such as mold, pollen, etc also cause itching and bite like symptoms.
