Boxelder bugs are the result of a boxelder tree that is close by. I am a "green" applicator when practical, but honestly, insecticidal soap will only make the boxelder bugs nice and clean. It will have very little effect on them otherwise.
For Boxelder Bug Control, you need firepower. Literally. These little creatures can drive you crazy and infest your house and force you out. They crawl in from outdoors and can cover the side of your home by the tens of thousands. They all come from the Boxelder Tree.
When Boxelder bugs become a problem, immediately start spraying either Bifenthrin (Bifen) or Cyonara outdoors. Cyonara has a broader label and would allow the application to the entire outside surface of the house, including the roof in some cases. You need to basically spray everything - sort of like spray painting the walls of your home outdoors with pesticide. This is the best method of control for these bugs.
Also find the Boxelder tree and either begin a regular spray treatment, or have it cut down. If it is not on your property, then you are in for a long haul, an yearly boxelder bug invasion.
Indoors, use Pesttabs, and spray under the furniture, behind the furniture, etc. Do not spray open exposed baseboards, this it too much pesticide indoors. Then Use ePest IPM Bug Traps AFTER spraying to try and capture them. Place these traps under furniture, beds, sofa's etc.
Vacuuming the Boxelder bugs up indoors also is a great non-pesticidal way to control them, but they can keep coming back.

Another "Green" indoor product is Alpine Residual Spray - http://www.epestsupply.com/product/AL... Great for indoor use the same as Pesttabs but only in an aerosol spray.
We don't sell chainsaws. Sorry. :-)
Hope this helps.
