In most cases, when applying these products, they are applied outdoors and in walls, attics, and places where the carpenter ants live and could nest. So with that type of treatment (no spraying baseboards), the chemical really isn't going to be in the areas where the cats could be. If you make a mess or have spillage during application, just clean it up, sweep, mop or use some soap and water. Cats are fairly finicky too. We have never had a report of any harm to cats with these products. You will be fine too if you apply these products correctly.
