What are the best sprays to use on the exterior of the house to deter/kill ants?

Sprays are never the best way to kill ants. The KM Ant Pro baiting system is the best way depending on the species of ant. What type of ant is it and where do you live?

There is really no such thing as a "baby" ant, since ants go through a complete life cycle - egg, larvae, pupae and adult. The "baby" would be the larvae, which would resemble small whitish worms. A small ant, is exactly that, a small ant and since most workers are the same size, they would all look similar.

Spraying for ants is normally not recommended. Baiting is always the best way to go for long term control.

Unsure about type - thought they were carpenter because they were coming in through the windowsills on the back of the house, especially when the bathroom was venting properly. Had some in the kitchen that were sugar ants for sure. Just had the exterminator over and he used EcoPRO ARX Aerosol for the interior windowsills and gave me some MaxForce FC Ant Bait Stations for when they came out again (I used a bunch of Raid a week or so ago and they haven't come back since but I now know that's not a good solution). Outside he threw a bunch of Talstar Xtra Granules in the bushes and sprayed the exterior with Thermidor SC. I appreciated his willingness to give me all of the product names but am wondering which are necessary and what would be best for preventative seasonal and/or permanent solutions?
I live in a green part of Washington DC.
I've seen a couple baby ants but nothing else right now. I guess I'll just wait and see and if things get bad again (or for next season), use the KM Ant Pro baiting system as you suggest rather than buy all of these products and use them?
