Under normal conditions, if the vinyl is treated, shiny, etc, then it should not be an issue. Untreated leather will probably stain. In most cases, I don't recommend spraying leather or vinyl, because the insects cannot live there. They can live under the cushions, in cracks, etc. I would not spray the entire leather or vinyl surface.
