Moth control in clothes requires inspection of the infested clothes, which is usually either wool or animal based since clothes moth larvae only feed on natural fibers, not synthetic such as rayon or polyester.
Control then comes in containing the infestation in the clothes, eliminating those in the infested clothes by either having them dry cleaned or washed and dried if possible.
Treatment of the closet using a residual insecticide such as Demand CS and finally, using a monitoring device such as a clothes mop trap to help determine if the infestation is still present in the future.
