Distillation does not remove all the contaminants. Ultra pure water is what is used in manufacturing processes to make many things. Makeup, pharmaceuticals, food, to name a few. Ultra pure water is also known as deionized water in many industries, although ULTRA-PURE water used for cleaning electronics and semi-conductors is even more pure. Here is a good article on it -
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultrapu... I was told some time ago that a single gallon of Ultra Pure water used to clean Silicon chips can cost as much as $2,000. I am not sure how accurate that is, but it makes an interesting conversation.
The best advice is to use whatever you mix up. If you only need to use a quart of mix then use 75% less concentrate, etc.
