You bring up a valid point. Clothes moths used to be on the Demand label, but obviously are not currently. A similar product that will give the same control is Suspend Polyzone - http://www.epestsupply.com/cgi-bin/sh...
The problem with Clothes moths is that in order to control an infestation, the clothes have to be completely gone through and inspected. The only product that can be directly applied to clothes is CB 80, which is not a residual insecticide. Demand, Suspend, Temprid, or any other residual insecticide cannot be applied to the clothes, so this is where some manufacturers back off their recommendation. These products can be applied to baseboards, cracks, crevices, and other areas where the larvae might hide. They do not control eggs or pupae.
Temprid is a great product, Suspend is a good product. Whatever you decide to use, just keep in mind that it will not kill adult clothes moths hiding in clothes.

Traps are recommended to monitor movement and to determine the extent of the infestation. Traps do not control infestations. It's possible that the ventilation system is key, but generally, when the heat comes on, it dries everything out and most insects can't survive this. CB 80 is not a residual insecticide, but can be used successfully. Yes CB 80 can be used on upholstery.
