Advion is a carbohydrate based bait similar to Gourmet Liquid Ant Bait. I would recommend using it by itself to see if ants are attracted to eat and will feed on it. Most species of ants go through a carbohydrate feeding cycle and then a protein feeding cycle. Trying to find the perfect bait which is similar to using a bait for fishing, usually doesn't work.
This is because the worker ants that do the feeding are instructed by the scout ants where and on what to feed. This is not their choice, it is by design based on the needs of the colony. A trail pheromone is placed to the feeding sites that gives the worker ants the signal on where to feed. It's all a very amazing process.
The best thing to do is to try different baits and then if the ants do not seem to be interested in any of them, give it some time and try rebaiting in a few weeks. Also make sure that there are no alternative feeding sources such as plants, insects, etc. helps. When using baits, this is the protocol. Hope this helps.
