The whole concept behind termite baiting is to minimize and eliminate the need for using chemical treatments such as Termidor. In most cases, if any substantial amount of Termidor is used, it would cause the bait system to become useless. Using both treatments at the same time is not recommended. Termite bait systems work if they are inspected at least every 6 months and the bait is replaced as it is eaten or consumed by the termites. In my experience, Sentricon, Advance, Hex Pro, even Terminate Termite Stakes work and do kill termites. In my opinion, using Termidor every 10 years is unnecessary, especially if a termite bait system has been maintained. If there are no active termites at this time and this company wants to drill up and trench your home and apply Termidor purely as a preventive, I would look elsewhere. Don't fix whats not broken. The cosmetic damage that this could cause to your home could outweigh any benefit the treatment. Consider doing your own bait system inspections too. It doesn't take much time and you can buy all of the products for less than a couple years annual cost. It sounds like you don't have a Sentricon contract, but probably a chemical treatment contract, which is different.
Sentricon can be found with an electronic "wand" that detects an RFID chip in the lid. So even if they are covered by mulch, grass, etc, they can be located. If you don't have Sentricon at all, but your neighbor does, I would suggest installing the Hex Pro Termite Bait system which is the ORIGINAL Sentricon. Sentricon has gone through several improvements over the years; each time, it seems to get more expensive. The original Sentricon System is Hex Pro which is available to homeowners. It still works very well for subterranean termites.

The only other option is to call a local pest company that installs and services Sentricon and have them put you under a contract.
