Not usually. Powder post beetles are not a "social" insect and do not have kings, queens or broods. They go through a life cycle similar to a butterfly - egg, larvae, pupae and adult. When the adults emerge from the wood, their only function is to reproduce. They then soon die. They do not congregate in "masses". You might find a lot of damage in certain areas and lots of dead adults. That's about it. Hope this helps.
