Springtails are an outdoor pest that are found where moisture is abundant. They are also called snow fleas, because in the winter they appear flea like on the top of snow. They are not a human parasite and I have never heard of them infesting a persons scalp. Seems highly unlikely. However, if that is the case, a simple shampoo soap and water will kill them. Head lice however are more than likely the culprit here. We don't sell anything for personal treatment of head lice. Sterifab will kill them on furniture, etc. Hope this helps.

Have this exact same problem. They are all over our neighborhood and are definitely coming in on our dog. They have a glue like substance and also "pokey hairs" like the sticky side of velcro. So things stick to them and they stick to other things... lots of other things.. we are Still struggling to get rid of them. Just don't let doctors or anyone else tell you that you are "crazy" or my personal favorite, "delusional". Vinegar rinses help a ton! Don't dilute it and use the highest acidity you can find at a grocery or big box store!

I am obviously speaking of springtails, or snowfleas, - collembula.

In 43 years of being in the pest control business, I have never once seen an outdoor pest such as springtails, bird mites, etc actually become an issue on a humans scalp. I have seen rat mites become an issue but that problem was easily solved. If you really think that springtails are the issue, I can only hope you find a cure.
If you are on ANY kind of prescription medication, I would HIGHLY recommend to research it and see if the side effects are what you are experiencing. I have a great article on this here - https://www.epestcontrol.com/articles/bugs-you-cant-see-that-bite/
