The new bait key design is actually a channel bar that slides between the ridges on the lid. Simply push the channel bar through the ridges until it fits snugly and then twist counter clockwise to loosen the lid and remove. The only problem with the original Dow Hex Pro key design is that it is plastic and breaks easily. It is also hard to place between the ridges. Most of the time, dirt and grass will get on top of the Hex Pro lid making insertion of the original key difficult. Our new bait key bar is aluminum and can be easily inserted and slid between the bars. Use the hook to remove the detector wood and / or the Shatter Cartridge. Hope this helps.
