Please help me identify and terminate these ants in my basement. I think they came in around basement door in Iowa. (.)

Appears to be a Big Black Carpenter Ant otherwise known as Camponotus Modoc. Ants such as this originate outdoors, so that's where the treatment needs be begin. I recommend the KM Ant Pro system installed around the outside of the house for best long term results. Spraying anything indoors is hit and miss.
