Using a hose end sprayer to apply Orthene is not recommended. 1) There are no published settings for using Orthene in a hose end sprayer. 2) It depends on whether the Arborvitae is container stock, indoor or outdoor. The normal method for application is to use this product in a pump type sprayer. It is an agricultural product normally used by growers, so mixing and applying in a hose end sprayer would not give you the proper application rate.
