It really depends on the size of the nest. 60 feet is a long way up, and most aerosol products that are labeled for hornets will only reach about 15 feet. Even then, at 15 feet, your chances of controlling a large nest with an aerosol are minimal and there is an even greater chance that you will get stung. Most professionals will use a bee suit to minimize the risk of getting stung. But even at 60 feet up, controlling a large hornet WILL BE risky. I would consider leaving this to the pros. A trip to the hospital because you got stung 20 times or because you fell off a ladder and injured yourself is not worth it.
