The active ingredient in Martin's Gopher Bait is Strychnine. It DOES have secondary poisoning effects. Depending on the amount of Martin's consumed by the gopher, it could be lethal to dog. If this is a concern or possibility, I would suggest not using this product. Traps or a non-secondary poisoning bait such as Kaput-D is a much safer alternative.
