There really is not a single best "spray" for bed bugs, because the different areas they can infest usually require specific products. You really can't keep them off of new items, because if the infestation is bad enough, they will usually find their way in or onto it. Bed bugs are very sneaky, and I personally would not use a spray on anything and hope that bed bugs would not find it. I would make sure that either than can't get to it, or I would start my own bed bug assassination program!
For instance, if you find them under furniture, under beds, along baseboards, etc, then Pestabs - will kill them. Spray the baseboards, under furniture, corners of walls, etc.
However, for bed bugs in beds and mattresses, you also need to use a mattress treatment such as Bedlam Plus - and also consider using mattress encasements.
Another treatment is actually dusting inside of walls through electrical switch plates using a product such as Delta Dust. Simply remove the switch plates and give a couple of puffs of Delta Dust inside the wall.
Bed Bug control is very technical and usually requires a minimum of 3 treatments to get good control. We have a complete page on how to get rid of bed bugs and bed bug control here - click here
In order to keep bed bugs away from things, it is best to make sure the bed bugs can't get to it. Keeping bags, linens, suitcases, shoes, etc, high off the floor will help, putting things on a desk or chair will also help. Bedlam Plus can be sprayed on almost anything, and if you feel the need, spray away. Just don't expect 100% control unless you go through all of the steps required.
We also sell a bed bug kit that contains most of the products you will need to perform your own bed bug treatment.
There is no easy bed bug control, that's why pest companies charge hundreds of dollars for a treatment, and then usually no guarantee.
This is something you can do yourself. Don't waste your money on bed bug repellent sprays, they don't work. If you really want to get rid of them, read up on everything you can, visit our bed bug page and get professional quality products. Hope this helps.
