I have merchant grain beetles and carpet beetles all throughout my home. What can I use to treat both?

I have been spotting a lot of carpet beetles as the spring is sneaking upon us. Mainly on my throw blanket on the couch and around the baseboards in the basement.

The grain beetles have been around for a few years but so sparingly I never really thought much about them. It appears that they love my house plants and are now climbing around the hardwood floors and I see them fly occasionally. I have noticed 2 in the last day on my couch and I am fed up.

Carpet beetles and grain beetles are 2 totally different insects that require separate treatments. The first question is, are you positive that you have carpet beetles, and if so, have you found any damage to rugs, suits, sweaters or anything made of wool?

The second question is how did you determine you have merchant grain beetles? Who identified them and if it was a professional did they identify the source?
