hi Steve, just curious where did you buy the Advance and when?

The problem with Carpenter ant baits like Advance is that they go bad really fast. Within days. It contains a fish oil food grade type attractant that when it goes bad, will do nothing for the ants. they will avoid it. So basically this type bait has to be reapplied every few days to maintain attractiveness. I would recommend to contact your Pest Company and get their opinion. Advance Carpenter Ant Bait can work, but in my experience, seldom gives 100% control..Terro is worthless for carpenter ants. Any rotted wood should be replaced or at the very least sprayed with Termidor. There are many tricks to controlling Carpenter Ants, it sounds like the pest company charged you for something you can do yourself and will need to do yourself on a regular basis if you want to get control.
The best long term system for Carpenter ant control is the KM Ant Pro Liquid Bait dispenser with Greenway Liquid Ant Bait. Here is a link - https://www.epestcontrol.com/articles...

I would consider using the KM Ant Pro dispensers outdoors. This helps to prevent future infestations. If the RV is not moved frequently, then the ants will be back. In the meantime, hopefully they got a good dose of advance and are in decline. Only time will tell. It will be a few weeks to months before you know for sure if they are gone.
