Without seeing a picture of it or a specimen, I can only guess. The question is if this was a single occurrence or if there is an infestation brewing somewhere.....

I was hoping to get some help identifying a bug I saw. A brown bug that is about an inch long and skinny flew into my room. It's late august and I saw it at night. It has antennaes bigger than its body. When researching I found it looks like a bug called the Stenodema sericans. But the are found in Europe and I live in Rhode Island.
