Glyphosate as a general rule will kill almost any growing plant. Dallisgrass is a hard to kill weed due to its dense root structure. In most cases, if Roundup Pro is applied to the actively growing plant, then it will die. In some cases, due to temperature or root structure, you will get what is called "suppression". This is where the plant appears dead and not growing, but over a period of weeks, slowly starts growing and turning green again with new leaves. If this is the case, then a second or even a third application may be necessary to get control.
Almost all herbicides sold today offer some form of suppression. Nothing kills Dallis Grass completely with 1 application. If MSMA were still available, it would do the trick. My best advice is to use it according to label directions and see what happens.
Hope this helps.
