Talstar (Bifenthrin) is very toxic to bees and wasps as are most synthetic pyrethroid insecticides. Bifen is the generic form of Talstar and is less expensive.
Either insecticide can be sprayed around the perimeter of the home to kill and prevent bees and wasps.
Be sure to spray shrubs, around windows, doors, eaves, etc.
I would be careful if you are trying to kill a bee nest or hive. If you are dealing with honeybees, it is usually a better idea to call a local beekeeper who can come out and remove the bees and relocate them.
With the current decline in honeybee populations all across the US, killing honeybees is not recommended. Relocating and allowing them to thrive is the right thing to do.
However, if you must kill them, then either Talstar or Bifen are great choices, and as long as the siding is not extremely dark, shiny or glass, then there will be no residual residues or water spotting (staining).
