It doesn't sound like carpet beetles. It sounds more like fly larvae or some sort of outdoor pest larvae, caterpillars. etc. Where is this located and do you have a picture?
will this work on carpet beetle larvae in bedroom carpet?
I just started to notice little worms on the edge of my mattress that is on the floor in my carpeted bedroom where it meets the wall. They looked mostly dead but some were alive. Then I found more near door to my bedroom where the carpet begins. I also saw two or three in the bathroom on the walls. I would say in total I found about 40, but I havent seen any adult ones. How can I get rid of these wormies and does this amount seem alarming?
