The easy answer for your question is 1 fogger for every 500 square or cubin feet. This is what the label directions call for.
The correct answer is that it completely depends on what you are trying to control / kill. Foggers are not the answer when used alone or just by themselves. They are usually used as a part of a control strategy.
In many cases this consists of performing a complete treatment using residual sprays and dusts. Then using the foggers to agitate the insects to bring them out of their hiding places. This method will hopefully drive them into contact with the residual sprays and dusts. Its really a part of a 2-step treatment plan.
Using foggers by themselves in most cases will only kill flying insects such as moths, houseflies, etc. It will not control or eliminate insects such as cockroaches, bed bugs, etc.
