Sawdust does not always indicate live insects. It could be caused by other factors such as old insect damage and the frass falling from the galleries insects make. It could also be caused by the mirror rubbing on the wall. I have also seen bed bugs living behind mirrors and their excrement littering the floor below. Bottom line is that unless you are certain this is live insect related and you know what you are dealing with (drywood termites, powder post beetles, carpenter ants, etc), any pesticide use may be worthless.
If you are certain this is insect related, then we need to know what it is. Simply injecting chemicals into holes probably won't do much. In the case of powder post beetles it would be worthless.
