Hi, I have a wall mirror at home. Recently some black dust started coming out at the bottom of this mirror. The mirror was mounted onto plywood before it was installed onto the wall. So the dust is coming out of the plywood. The plywood is about 5mm thick. I am thinking of buying the Steel Needle Injector to inject stuff into the wood to stop this problem. What should I purchase to put into the needle to do the injection?

Sawdust does not always indicate live insects. It could be caused by other factors such as old insect damage and the frass falling from the galleries insects make. It could also be caused by the mirror rubbing on the wall. I have also seen bed bugs living behind mirrors and their excrement littering the floor below. Bottom line is that unless you are certain this is live insect related and you know what you are dealing with (drywood termites, powder post beetles, carpenter ants, etc), any pesticide use may be worthless.
If you are certain this is insect related, then we need to know what it is. Simply injecting chemicals into holes probably won't do much. In the case of powder post beetles it would be worthless.
