Hi Ron - I have carpenter ants in my attic in an 1100 sq ft ground floor duplex in SE FL.

I wil be there Jan - March and need to know best course of treatment while there and then while away as well. FYI- exterior 3 sides are my own grounds. Thanks in advance for your help!

Its hard to tell you exactly what to do without any information. I would recommend to check out an article I wrote on How To Kill Carpenter Ants.

The KM Ant Pro System is the easiest to use and doesn't require much thought or effort. Sprays and dusts require much more of a plan. Check out the article and let me know your thoughts.

Typically, the manufacturer recommends at least 1 dispenser on each side of the house. That makes a total of 4 dispensers. It only takes about 16 oz of bait per dispenser. We have a 4+2 kit that contains this. Here is the link -

Thanks Ron- I read the article and I think the KM bait traps are the best solution for me to try. For the 1100 sq ft with 3 exposed sides, how many bait traps and quarts do you recommend?
