Unless you live next to a bakery, a wheat field or have some source of flour in your house that could propagate mites, I doubt that you are dealing with a flour mite. It sounds like what are called psocids or book lice. They are very difficult to get rid of and are usually a problem where humidity and moisture are prevalent, such as a basement. The best advice is to figure out exactly what they are BEFORE you spray anything. If you can send me a sample or a clear picture I can probably identify it.
