The best method of controlling german cockroaches involves using a bait such as Advion or Vendetta. If the pest control company is not doing this, (usually due to added cost), then that's why you are still seeing roaches. Here is an article I wrote on how to kill cockroaches -

Sprays by themselves usually don't eliminate German Cockroaches. Baits, dusts, and traps will eliminate them. If you are seeing more roaches than before they sprayed thats because they disturbed or agitated them and they are moving around. They may or may not die. Baits are usually the best way to go in apartments. Dusting the walls through the switch plates and plumbing accesses is also a good way to keep them from moving from your neighbors.

Hello, thanks for responding. I think I didn't state the opening part of my question clearly . What I meant to say is that my roach problem has so gotten so much worse that at the time of posting this, it was the 5th time I saw a roach in my room. Update: All of the roaches I have seen are small, with one that was slighty bigger, but still not considered big. I also found out that Pest Control just sprayed some sort of spray around my room. They also said that I should give the spray 2 weeks and that I will probably see more roaches over the next few days. What should do next? How will I know if the spray worked? Is there a way to prevent them from coming? Why do they keep coming back?
