Riptide contains naturally based pyrethrins, is easily destroyed by sunlight, leaves a black gummy residue on misting nozzles and roughly 2 times the price of Sector.
Sector contains synthetic pyrethrins, is more resistant to sunlight, leaves a longer residual that keeps killing mosquitoes, is cleaner on nozzles and roughly half the price of Riptide.
Both contain a high concentration of Piperonyl Butoxicide (PBO). It's the PBO which is naturally derived actually kills the mosquitoes better than either natural or synthetic pyrethrins.
Are you totally confused. :-)
We use Sector and highly recommend it over Riptide.
